Me being autistic made me a very easy target and I over-reacted to stimuli very quickly so those cruel fuckers took advantage of it and would make me have meltdowns. Being in a public school as someone with autism has caused me irreversible damage and worsened my OCD and left me with PTSD to the point where I have super vivid dreams very often of my school years and being bullied in the nightmares. It fucking sucks.

School is barbarous. I’m so sorry you went through that. I was bullied at primary (elementary) school first for being a clever introvert then later for being fat. Thankfully my high school hardly had any bullying at all (selective all girls school). Plus I’d lost the weight by then anyway. Bullying is the absolute pits and can scar you for life. I’m sure many of the users of this forum are here because of it.

I still can't believe that we as a society in the 21st century haven't changed the school system much for the past 200 years, it's abhorrent and inhumane to think of us as cookie-cutter people.

I think so. It was different people at each school and I was dealing with abuse at home so my mind has been more on that but looking back I've always been bullied/left out

Was definitely bullied! In fifth grade a really big kid kept screwing with me he got a pencil broken off in his arm. I got to go to a shrink who did nothing, no meds nothing.
Tho Ricky DID stop getting physical! In tenth grade one kid kept running his mouth, the fool hit me I slugged him back. From then on, he ran his mouth but was still annoying as hell. As a teenager, I used to hope that damn school would get nuked into oblivion.

School was sort of ok except primary school which was awful because my mother (which was a teacher) put me in her class to better control me. In the rest of the school I was bullied maybe once or twice, but I had to help other student cheat at the tests, not sure if they would have beaten me otherwise.

Yes. School was horrible for me. I think I'm probably on the spectrum, but my parents did not believe that autism, or any kind of mental illness that wasn't full on unable to function without direct help mentally handicapped was a real thing. I got both teased at school and at home. And then later on in life at work. Basically every where I go. I used to get teased so bad and would freak out and cry. Eventually I learned to kind of laugh instead and that helped a little, but if the teasing persisted it wouldn't be long before I'd snap. My parents advice was to just get into a fight with the people teasing me. But with the way people targeted me i would have been fighting everyone everyday. And as an adult if I would have taken that advice I would have been in and out of jail who knows how many times for assault bc we all know that the fight starts with a fist thrown, not someone being a little name calling asshole. At least in the eyes of the law anyway.

That's the exact same experience I had, being the laughing stock of the school and being unable to fight the bullies because everyone was so psychopathic that they sided with them. Having so many bullies that it would be impossible to fight them all off.

not throughout the entirety of school, but i did get bullied when i was in 7th grade. the whole class turned against me and they're reasoning for bullying me was that because i was 'too nice' to everyone. kinda dumb and rotten of them, right? after that whole year of being humiliated and left out, i moved abroad and the rest of middle and high school were pretty okay. people were equally nice and no one really messed with me, which is honestly, a nice feeling.

however, now that i'm in college and back in my hometown, i am once again being left out by my current classmates. it's just so weird how people around my area has a knack for bullying and dragging people down. though i'm older now and i don't care as much, being left out still brings me some sort of sadness.

I will never be able to heal these wounds hence the only option is to ctb.

I tried healing my trauma with psychedelics and entheogens, even that didn't work....

The bullies in school would do crazy shit like break my locker, throw my pencil case down the toilet and out the window, just to see me suffer. I was constantly in fear 24/7 while in school. Swiping my legs to make me fall on the concrete when I'm outside.

It got to a point where I would be crying in fear in a toilet cubicle all of lunchtime and be hiding from everyone, cutting myself to soothe the pain at the age of only 13...
