This is my current supplementation for brain health, to help with brain performance, as I am constantly working on developing new skills, and which was hard to do without the supplements.

L-theanine keeps me very calm throughout the day, and reducing impulses.

Things that I left-out (for now); B vitamins, ginseng, ginkgo, and omegas. I have tried CBD oil, it is not for me.

Managed to reduce Amitriptyline from 175 mg to 150 mg per day. My objective is to get off all medications, except chronic pain medication, as needed.

Also working on a regimen for sleep, though I am already over my budget (i take other expensive vitamins too, (broad spectrum vitamin E, A, chromium). I guess I am willing to pay any price to get off pharmaceuticals, I had enough of the numbness.

Combining this regimen with exercise gives the best results.

This regimen is about 100 USD per month.

PS: (1) This is what I do, I DO NOT recommend that you use ANY of these supplements. (2) I do not recommend that you stop taking your medicine.

Are you doing regular cardio? That would likely effect your brain health more then supplements.

Have you heard of Inositol? I tried it and I don't know if it's a coincidence but on the second week of using it I felt a bit better. I had less suicidal thoughts, I had more motivation to do something and my OCD got a bit better. Inositol can help with anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, depression and it has positive effects on Insulin. I've run out of it and my mood went to shit again. I ordered some more but it hasn't arrived yet. It has some side effects but it helped me way more than any antidepressants ever did.

yes, i have heard of Inositol, haven't tried it yet, but I will. Happy that it works for you. I have bad OCD, depression not so much anymore, not suicidal. I just need my brain to absorb a lot of technical information, and being able to live without extreme impulsiveness.

At some point I consumed massive amounts of green tea, that is when I noticed a drastic change in my behavior, and the reason why I now taking l-theanine in capsule form.. It also helps with deep meditation. I am starting to think that the mind/body can be healed to some extent by these natural remedies.

I will look more into l-theanine. I've never tried it. I also heard good things about NAC (N-Acetyl, L-cysteina), it's good to use it in combination with Inositol. I also have very bad OCD. When I was using Inositol I didn't feel such strong urge to perform compulsions. It was easier to shrug it off. I also prefer more natural approach to heal the brain. Antidepressants can have very severe side effects and put a strain on your health.

It seems you're really doing a good job!! Keep on going!

As for me, my psych reduced the amount of some of my meds. It looks like my brain if finally understanding the way it should work.

I just need to do some exercise. I'm way too lazy.
