Morning Angel

Useless Broken Wings
Aug 8, 2018
I am trying to create a playlist of calm, beautiful music to listen to my last day. I’d love if people posted suggestions for me. I am not looking for any hard hitting, fast tempo, abrasive or gloomy stuff. I’m pretty keen on nice instruments, songwriters, and dreamy stuff. But I’m pretty open minded when it comes to music.

Feel free to drop in Songs. I’ll give everything a full listen!

Thanks ✨

Oooo! I love Beach House.
if you like Beach House, you may enjoy Slowdive:

Here are some other dreamy tracks that come to mind:

https://youtu.be/J_-hPst4zIg - Washed Out

or if lyricless/ambient is more your flavor:
https://youtu.be/CMRLlSPt7ak - Boards Of Canada
https://youtu.be/gDXrOF0jm2A - State Azure
https://youtu.be/Wlz-F5O27Gc - Hiatus
https://youtu.be/tfd2myOIIcc - Carbon Based Lifeforms

anyway I'd better stop myself here, cause I could go on for a while lol. I hope you enjoy some of these.

I'll post four tracks.

This is from a Brazilian jazz and funk band called Azymuth. The instrumentation and production is so beautiful and if you don't feel like you're floating on a cloud while listening to this then I don't know.

This next one is from a genre called Japanese City Pop. Its more eighties sounding and has some cute vocals over it.

This one is from an Icelandic post rock group I like called Sigur Ros. It's so warm and chilled out. I see it has been posted above, but it's so good I've posted it again.

Last one is one of my favourite ambient pieces from David Bowie he made in collaboration with Brian Eno in the 70s in Berlin. It sounds and feels like being in a lush, green garden with nothing to worry about. So pleasant.

I once heard this described as music for the lonely and restless soul. Maybe you'll like it and know it already. The whole midnight cowboy film soundtrack is moody, uplifting and soulful and off beat in parts. Very, very inspired and extraordinarily beautiful.
