As some of you may know I suffer from disabling pain, mainly because of spinal cord damage, and massive invasive spine, chest surgeries. Three days ago I received a call from nowhere, guy said they need an IT company to manage their network. I am not really in the market for new contracts, but I said "yes, let's meet", without thinking about it, he caught me off-guard. When I put the phone down I realized what I have done, which is finding myself in two IT contracts with a totally crippled body.

I am going for ketamine therapy, basically 6 four hour infusion sessions - and then once a month - it may help me function at work, reduce pain, and side effects coming off 175mg of Amitriptyline a day. The plan is also to reduce the opiates that I am taking. I need this therapy, desperately , because I need to function, and be able to think on my feet.

Hope you ok, how is progress going?

I hope the ketamine infusions help you. I have chronic pain as well, but it is much more manageable than what you are dealing with.

I only hope it is reversible. Going without insurance in the US is awful. I would say that I wish I could kick my younger self for my career choices, but I’d probably land on my ass in doing so and end up with more hip pain, lol

My problems are so miniscule compared to yours it's seems unfair to clutter this thread with such trivialities.
I just wish these treatments help you. Big hug

Good luck with the treatments! I hear k infusions can be really helpful for some people, hopefully you're one of them

How are you feeling about the contract? Are you happy about it at all? It sounds like it'd be pretty good to have a contact since you're making money and all, but of course if your body can't take it then it's trickier.

I'm going to pick up my meds at the pharmacy soon, it's my very first time on meds. Plus I had such a good week that i was about to call my psychiatrist and tell her that I'm not gonna show up anymore since I'm cured. But I know when this good mood wears off it'll be the complete opposite. I hope with the meds the downs don't get so bad anymore, but mostly I hope my anxiety goes away a bit. Still I'm trying to manage my expectations since I heard really bad things about my specific SSRI's black box warning in young suicidal people.
