Actually 29. ;) But yes, that 's true. I dunno why everybody is so afraid to share some personal data on here. There are fucking a lot of us. Even if you have some strong fear of being called out... or whatever. I could not imagine, someone would say to me one day on the street: ehhh arent you that guy from sanctioned suicide...hehe. just my perspective, I fully respect everybody 's wish for privacy.

Hahahahaha! I would LOVE another SS'er to recognize me on the street! Then I'd have some friends in this damned place. I'm in the same camp as you about being open with personal details.
I'm so old that in history class I just wrote down what I was doing.
I like this joke! Was this from Key and Peele? Or, is it just a general, "Yo' mama's so old..." bit?
That's mighty fancy lol I just used a pencil to rewind my tapes!
Did TDK make VHS tapes and cassette tapes? I wonder if TDK is still a going concern... (Yes, I know I could Google all this info.)

I must be older because i had and still have one of these for all my TDK SA90`s ...... so many people on here won't know what the hell it is

I didn't know TDK made fishing rods. :)):)):)) Seriously though... I bought a used car that had a cassette player. I had to record cd's that i liked to listen to in it. I eventually bought a cassette adapter for it to listen to CD's or an I Phone.
Do you still have one of these ??? :ahhha::ahhha::ahhha:

It looks like they are still around but they don't manufacture cassettes anymore.

TDK used to manufacture an extensive portfolio of magnetic and optical media, including several formats of videotape and blank CD-R and recordable DVD discs until the recording business was sold to Imation in 2007.

CD's are still around. I like to listen to them in my car. I don't want to pay for Sirrius/XM and the local radio stations are kinda shit. Also no commercials when I listen to CD's.
Oh, I know they're still around, haha. Way back when there used to be these obnoxiously large plastic things on them to prevent theft and my local record shop didn't have proper shelves for something as small as CD cases yet so I figured it was also to fit where the vinyls once were. Used to be a crap load of labels and cellophane too. Definitely agree - I have some CDs at home and bought a brand new album a couple months back - I can't stand the commercials ruining a good album! I've also seen music tapes at used bookstores, usually two for $1. Pretty tempting to get a cassette player with those prices :haha:

20, they told me that depression was just a phase during the teenage years and "it will disappear before you'll have your first beer"...

Tell me you proved them wrong by getting a beer right after that.

Well, I'm still very much depressed and alcohol is my preferred way of escaping from said depression, but I can't say that I proved wrong since nobody knows for sure about my mental state

I have 100's of dvd's & blu ray's … not much vhs other than stuff I recorded. I still have a dvd/vcr. I used to record things on vhs that I wanted to save. I can't really save much on a dvr and if they need replaced you lose everything anyway. :'( I don't think you can buy blank vhs tapes anymore. I haven't really tried though.

Yeah ... they are around but not like they were a decade ago. I do see vinyl ... even at Best Buy and Wal-Mart. I don't get why people want vinyl.
I like cd's so I can listen to them in my car. I don't really listen to them in the appt. (Sometimes in the shower, I have a little cd player for that)
I usually turn on the music channels on cable or listen to music online. I don't think I will be tempted to buy any more cassettes.

Sorry to everyone that i derailed this thread a little.
