Yes I am I pretty much have everything ready. When I start to pass out its very much like they say you just start to go. You can feel things going black and there's a weird tingling feeling that goes through my body it isn't uncomfortable at all. It feels like they say euphoric. Every time I hit my spot and start to go I come out of it smiling and excited because I know it'll work.
I meant what happens to the slip knot will it be released because I’m holding on to it til I cant take it anymore then I release it ? I don’t feel euphoric I just feel panic .

Is the knot your going to use considered a slip knot or a noose knot ? I’m so confused about what type of knot I should use ?

That idk I actually have mine set up already on my door and have just been practicing with the full set up. I figured the worst that happens that way is I accidentally go through with it while practicing and I’m okay with that. I tried holding it and could never get enough pressure to pass out before I start panicking so I just set it up to do. I’m not recommending practicing this way at all because obviously a lot could go wrong. As for the knot I’m using a very basic slipknot one you’d get from a web search or that has been posted here a ton.

I have a question too for you guys.
While doing partially hanging.
How do you make yourself choke out?
Do you put the noose around the neck and the rope anchored to a ligature?
And then what? What are the next steps to take? I don't understand it at all. Do you just kneel until you black out, while the rope is tied to the anchor point and holds your weight while gravity does the rest? Thanks in advance.

I thought I was the only one not understanding how this works . I need to know because I have no choice I have to ctb because I have a terminal diagnosis and I can’t live like this any longer

And also if the rope is around your neck wouldn’t thst cut off all your arteries I don’t understand how you put more pressure on the carotid ?

So basically I read through this whole thread and just gathered as much info as I could and ran trial and error on myself. Different positions on my neck, slow or fast all while just holding the rope using both hands to try to find my spot. None of those worked for me to find the spot or not hurt. Being frustrated and knowing I don't care I set it up on my door anyway. I would not recommend practicing this way for obvious reasons but to explain as much as I can. It is fully set up and ready for me to ctb and when I have more confidence I won't have to do anything but fully go through with it. With that set up over been putting my head through using a pillowcase lightly tied around my neck just for some padding not tight almost like you'd wear a scarf. Head goes in for practice and I slowly ease myself down back against the door legs sliding in front of me. My body is almost in an L position. For practice I have been keeping my feet planted kinda like digging my heels into the ground so I can stand up easy. Again this is practicing so im going at my own speed.

At this point im still in total control if I feel the rope is going to slide weird or in the wrong position ill stand back up readjust and lower again. While doing this I can tell because im going slow what its cutting off. Yes sometimes I hit the wrong spot close the jugular or something else and can immediately tell its wrong but when I do it right as im lowering myself on the door I can feel the rope covering the carotid and closing it.

When that happens it is very much like what everyone says. Its quick. Honestly to me it feels within 5 seconds. My vision goes there is a really strange sensation in my head. Its almost like a panic probably my SI. With mer knowing im practicing this is usually my jump moment where I stand myself up and loosen the noose. This is probably not great as its training my brain how to avoid what I want as well but because of how quick it is for me to black out I know It'll work for me. There is a tingling feeling that goes through my whole body and to me it almost feels like a rush of adrenaline. My fight or flight kicking in but not in a bad way. Every time I've been able to hit my spot I come out feeling excited. The euphoric feeling everyone describes is true. Even though youre putting pressure and cutting off blood flow it feels very freeing like the pressure of your life is being taken off.

I can't advise on where to position the rope but I can say when its in the right spot you instantly know and when its in the wrong spot you also know. Its trial and error and practice and knowledge mixed with a lot of fuck it just do it. The very first time I tried practicing on the door it was in the very wrong spot and as soon as I slide down it caused me to cough and throw up. Some runs instead of cutting off air I can tell its in the wrong spot because swallowing feels like im drowning. Ive even been trying to work on just getting my legs out quicker with more of a fast drop to simulate the full thing.

Again I can't recommend trying this way as it is very dangerous. If I hit my spot and stay just a few seconds too long im gone unless it fails and honestly every practice run that I've hit my spot I feel like I make it out at just the last second. I know this is a terrible way to practice but I also know when I attempt fully I do believe it'll be easier because ill fully know what to expect and ill just shoot the legs out and go for it and be done with it.

My bad its attached inside my closet. My closet has a door so I have the loose end anchored to a heating grate that is on the floor in the closet. I don't have any particle knot for that I just knotted it enough that when I pull on it as hard as I can the rope isn't moving. I don't have anything great to anchor with so I would look for something heavy or stable im just trying to work with anything I have. From the grate inside the closet I made another slipknot looped that around the inside door handle threw the rope over the top of the door and closed it. The noose end hangs at my chin level so when I step to the door I have to lift my head up or stand straight to even get my head in. To make sure it would hold my weight because I don't have a great anchor I feel or im just over worried I tried it out first with my hand like they say in the thread, putting my hand in the noose and pulling down making sure that the knot will close and making sure it will have the strengh to hold me

Further testing... I'm able to repeat what I did yesterday. Now I get convulsions/movements as well. Feels really weird. It seems I need to apply more pressure towards sides of neck, rather than front. I believe it's on thyroid gland where I'm placing the rope? Doesn't work pulling with the slip knotted noose. I think it requires more pressure, as in I need to attach the rope somewhere and use my body weight. What works is when I use my hands and the rope without any knot, so that most pressure is placed more towards the sides of the neck, or rather what's between front and sides of neck.

Problems I'm having is that it feels scary / SI inducing. Also the sweet spot seems to be so narrow. Maybe it's different when using weight of the body. Sliding off the sweet spot may or may not be a problem. Also it may be that when I set it up correctly and test it, I may accidentally succeed if I loose strength of my legs. It's not guaranteed that the process can be cancelled.

Still considering SN and N, not in a hurry. It's just that my mail is being checked where I currently live.

EDIT: Yeah! It works almost every time now. The rope is only 4-5mm thick. So I tried two ropes adding up to 8-10mm. Just under the peak of adam's apple.

EDIT2: Tried again, kept it longer. I can see why people get off of this... It seems the pressure I'm using cuts only part of the blood flow(?).

EDIT3: Now I get whole body convulsions, even my face makes a funny expression. I breath in a different way as well, it's like gasping for air but not quite. For a moment I was in the brink of losing consciousness, then I automatically let go of the rope. I was about to fall down whilst standing. I could describe the feeling euphoric, but quite mild such. Probably going to fall and hit my head if I continue this, that's one way to go...

EDIT4: Now I started headbanging like in a heavy metal concert. I'm hoping that the movements won't last long if I try this properly. They may cause problems.
The number one problem with this method is that the convulsions do go on for a long time, with your arms, legs, and body slamming into the door over and over, making a lot of noise - if anyone can hear this you'll get pulled down long before you would ctb. This only works in a place where you can be isolated for a long time, such as in a house where you are the only one there for a long time. If you try this in an apartment or hotel the banging noises will get you pulled down long before you ctb, unless the room is basically soundproof (rare).. I know Chris Cornell did this in a hotel room and it worked, but there are possibl explanations for this- he could have been in a huge suite that was mostly or completely soundproof (this seems likely considering his wealth) or else nearby rooms in all directions were not occupied.

Mine stays every time I check the anchor it hasn't moved and with the noose end I guess I don't know because I don't know how much ill move but when I stand up from practice runs it takes me a good second to get a grip on the knot and pull it loose. This is the picture I went off of to tie the knot im not having issues with I don't think at least I haven't run into anything.

The hotel is nice and he was in a nice room but it for sure isn't soundproof and its a Casino Hotel and its always full of traffic I know this having been there. Chris also went pretty quick and he did have people trying to get to him. Didn't they prove that there was no breaks from his wife's phone call to people getting to him? It was all within an hour and when His manager kicked in the doors he found him as much as I read basically dead. it was like 30-40 minutes cuz they couldn't get let in plus they sued a doctor for giving him Ativan and settled privately. They found traces of medicine but didn't include them in the final decision to say it was suicide but im sure as he was taking anti anxiety it helped go quicker

So when u are practicing does the knot tighten up as you slide down the door or do u pull tight around ur neck ?

what are you hanging off of (where are you tying the other end of the rope to)?

these hooks can hold up to 180kg apparently. i could install them on my wall perhaps

Honestly trial and error. I’ll start with sliding down the door letting it tighten naturally basically like I’m sitting in a chair. As the rope tightens and feels like it’s in the wrong spot I’ll stand up loosen it enough to rotate the noose to a better spot tighten back with my hands and drop again. You may not be able to tell it’s in the right spot but you can almost always tell when it’s in the wrong spot so just readjust. Also with the noose you have the solid side and the moveable side try having the moving side on the right of that isn’t working flip it around and try it on the left side. I feel like you’re looking to put more pressure on the sides of your Neck not the front

Choking, high levels of discomfort, can't swallow. Usually it'll trigger a coughing reaction like I swallowed water wrong. If the rope hits my Adams apple its also I very immediate reaction of trying to swallow but can't so it hurts

Choking, high levels of discomfort, can't swallow. Usually it'll trigger a coughing reaction like I swallowed water wrong. If the rope hits my Adams apple its also I very immediate reaction of trying to swallow but can't so it hurts

Wow ok still not sure where you have the rope attached to , the doorknob or is it over the door ?

You don’t feel any pressure in your head and i your sinuses filling up ?
When do u plan on doing this or r u just going to keep practicing ?

When I’m in the right spot it just feels like pressure on my neck it isn’t pain or even really discomfort but I can feel the pressure on the side of my neck. I have not been on that website I’ll check it out tonight.
When do u plan on doing this or r u just going to keep practicing ?
I guess I don’t really have a plan for when I live alone and nobody has seen or talked to me in a month so I’m not really worried about interference my main fear is not being found after I’m gone I’m kinda just wasting away in bed every day staring at the noose honestly I’m good whenever and I’ll probably just make a random choice that okay I’m just going. I feel like if I plan a date it’s too much anxiety

I wonder if it's possible to put a plastic bag over my head, as the noose seals it shut around the neck. I hadn't been able to pull off getting unconscious from just having my carotids compressed by the rope, so I was thinking that with a plastic bag closed tight around my neck, I wouldn't be able to breathe in oxygen and eventually pass out from hypoxia/suffocate, then the rope would do the trick.

I think so I had to type certain things j into a search engine because the browser wouldn’t accept the links but I got it to work doing that. I don’t work at the moment I was working on and off and got a new job only lasted 3 weeks before I couldn’t manage anymore and just stopped showing so now no

I've been testing again with just my hands and the rope. I kind of get off from doing this repeatedly. I get funny convulsions and slightly euphoric feelings and loss of strength and feeling.

To some extend I now manage to block the carotid arteries WITH slip knot noose and under the adam's apple. It just requires me to apply more pressure by pulling the rope harder.

I'm scared me that the rope may slide over adam's apple and blood may start flowing again. I have trouble swallowing when it's over adam's apple and it seems it requires much more pressure when the rope is there.
