I know about nausea but what are the statistics of someone being in significant pain before leaving?

it is not painless. my thread still exists with in the moment descriptions of everything i felt. i am only alive today because i was saved. i remember a feeling of heat starting from my stomach and spreading outward. my head started to hurt and i became extremely lightheaded which wasn’t in itself painful but it was unpleasant. it is not painless but it wasn’t excruciating

Did you use tylenol or advil- this is supposed to help with the headache, but you would have a better idea of how much this may help, if you used them.

Also, it could be helpful to know how you got saved- did someone hear you vomiting, or did you call 911 due to feeling distressed, and did someon just happen to walk in and, if so, after how long? If you can answer these questions if could help to guide people some.

I did take ibuprofen and tums as i didn’t have access to an antiemetic. i did vomit but i had held it in long enough to be effective. i texted my boyfriend at the time to tell him i was dying, i think it was because i was becoming deliriously anxious as i came closer and closer to death. by the time he managed to get help on the way i had to be given cpr

Thanks very much for this information- I wonder if benzos could have helped with this anxiety. Do you regret asking for help or are you glad you were rescued?

i regret it. i ended up in a residential treatment facility for eight months afterwards that was extremely abusive and traumatic. i ended up recovering for awhile but i still have frequent relapses. even though i have had many good times since they are all meaningless in the end. i’ve always known, even in my most recovered moments, that it is temporary and that i will most likely die by suicide one day

I don't know what to believe anymore. It sounds like if you don't have a professional who can determine approximately what and how much you should take with your body weight, it's a huge risk to take for pain

I read your thread, it sounds like you were in a lot of pain? I'm sorry you had to go through that.

I am sorry you are still having so much pain- maybe benzos can help next time.

i won’t be trying sn again, it’s become too hard to obtain for my liking. i will be trying the night night method next time, but i won’t be trying anytime soon. i just co-signed a lease and it would fuck my roommate over financially if i wasn’t there

it is not painful, it can be a bit uncomfortable for some, not everyone feels the same. in my case I am used to headaches and tachycardia because I have it every day, so that was bearable, what I am not used to is nausea and feeling short of breath and I think that was the only uncomfortable thing I felt What I can assure you is that what is painful is failing, what happens when you are in the hospital if you fail because you are found or something like that and they take you to the hospital and what they do to "save you" is the worst, but in the same way it is the same depends on each person (I hate needles) and the feeling and frustration that remains is more painful. In summary from experience, I can say that SN is peaceful and still my method definitely.

According to most of the cases documented here it's not exactly painful but it's very uncomfortable. Some experience feelings of suffocation like they can barely breathe before they go unconious. But most don't feel psychical pain besides sometimes a headache.

It puts me off knowing how many people have ended up calling for help with SN. It's my second choice probably after N but I can see how it's easy to freak out and that's worrying me.

My concerns are being heard/found, calling for help, and ending up back in treatment. Planning hard to avoid those things.x

There's a video of a girl using it. After watching that, I'm not worried anymore.
If she had no issues she likely had all the meds. Many people can't get them all so they try without at least one of them and it still often works, but it may not be as peaceful and it may not work. If a person gets an antiemitic, a beta blocker, a benzo, and a pain reliever (otc-this is easy) they seem to go peacefully. Antacids have been debated, not sure about these. Currently I can't get benzos and I might try without them. It does seem that for people who get all the meds it is peaceful compared to other methods.

I’m using sn still. I can tolerate a little discomfort. I’m tired of disappointing people so it’s happening. I’ll be nice and comfortable in a hotel for my last hours.
Wasn't there a thread the other day about someone dosing on SN in a hotel getting caught because someone in the hall heard them and called for help? Might want to be cautious about when/where you CTB.

Soemtimes this happens if they have loud vomiting, but if you do all of the meds you have a better chance of this not happening. I don't know of a failed case where someone did all the meds, thoughn there may be some.

There have been several successful attempts in a hotel. I’m taking precautions to prevent from being heard

Where would you get the antiemitic and benzo?
