Legalizing Euthanasia means more organ donation and shrink the illegal organ market and decrease population… which is better for the earth I thought is what the scientists say??

People look down on people who wish to die, call them weak, and selfish, really they just lack empathy. People who wish to die (and be organ doners) can, in an alternate reality, be viewed as above us, and as their euthanasia and donation as the ultimate sacrifice, a selfless, MULTIPLE life saving act. A Godly act.

I just read about a guy who had to have a pig heart donated to him as a last resort. Many people die with animal transplants. Wtf, this is not ok, many people who would consent to dying would gladly donate their heart to him.

I imagine some people with a close family member, especially a child ho needs a transplant, would agree.

( I guess ppl would rather use humans as a science experiment.)

But now, even if someone does kill themselves, by the time they are found, fewer organs would work for donation. Some even might need an organ donation themselves after an attempt.

People get their organs removed while still alive in the organ trade, what if we made that less needed?
People preach political correctness, but idk how we are so behind in this in this advanced society. Smh

Often crosses my mind as well, feels like such a shame to throw away my healthy young body, when it could easily save someone's life. Just because it's against rHuLeS, because they can't respect my decision to die. Biatch, I don't wanna play anymore, wouldn't you rip me open and save someone ffs. So close minded...

Don't want some neurotypical to end up with my precious organs. They can have my shitty dick or my toenails.
I'm friends with someone in Skingrad who would love your donation!

Good idea, OP! And if they can clone sheep (and I recall someone cloned their dog), they could clone people or at least their body parts. Would be nice to have four arms.

It would also mean safer and more effective ctb. There’s so many things that can go wrong during the planning process and no method is 100% lethal but with assistance from a medical professional, any ctb goals would be assured.

Unfortunately I’m probably too diseased to qualify to donate my organs after death. But I wish I could because there are still many dying people that want to live. :aw:

This all depends on various factors. Disease and methodology can be two factors that render organs useless for any practical purpose. That said, this is a rather spelind idea.

For some reason scientists can't artificially grow a specific organ without it being attached to a whole body, it just doesn't work (yet).

Euthanasia from drugs would likely render most organs unusable. May be an argument for a sarcopod in every transplant center though!

Yeah that's what I was wondering..... Surely the peaceful method of euthanasia will render organs unusable but I'm not so sure now. Anyone else have info on this? With the use of N for example.

What about nitrogen asphyxiation tho, I believe most of the organs are still usable after that

Organs can be removed while under standard anesthesia. As with a heart transplant, they just have to stop the heart. No need overdose.

I'm not so confident in ths peacefulness of that method personally and I suspect it wouldn't be used in a euthanasia setting.

That makes sense.

I think this is the best way to euthanasia. win-win. It's absurd that someone who's going to commit suicide is left to rot in the ground with 4-5 lives left to save. Those who want to die die, those who want to live live. No money to euthanasia organizations, no drug trafficking, no risk of being disabled by horrific non-peaceful methods... The only obstacle to overcome is the ideas of conservative minds.

I really wonder about the viability of those organs after the procedure is carried out. Admittedly, I haven't read much on the topic of organ donors that request euthanasia, but I'm not so sure that there's much potential in this area.

Still, it would be wonderful if they could save some lives this way. If I had a non genetically ill body, and I'd qualify for euthanasia, I'd be more than happy to become an organ donor to help some people live the lives that they so tragically have no chance to.

this has to be the most dystopian thing I've ever heard off. People have such an unhealthy relationship with death in an overpopulated dying world that they are willing to get a pig's heart. And the guy looks old also. why not just die?

so fucking lame I just can't deal with sick elderly people desperately clinging to life and burning every possible ressources just so they can live another day to have someone change their diapers.
