Looks 100% matter and is the first thing people base you on. It’s already over if you’re an ugly male cause no one will want to interact with you. Why try to befriend subhumans like me when you already assume the worst?

I know you're suffering and everything. I'm so sorry that you are.

I'm bisexual, so take this as you will, but you're very attractive. But I fear that your low self esteem is not only based on how you think you look. I hope this helped.

I'm a straight man, so I'm unable to judge whether you are attractive to women, or not, but I believe that you seem to be looking better than this black and white example picture

That's you in the picture?

I don't say "get help" lightly, but I think you may need to consider it. I do not see a recessed chin here or an unattractive face. Looks like the replies in the other thread agree with me. I think you may be experiencing body dysmorphia.

Take it for what it's worth, but I consider the "do I need chin implants" chin profile more attractive than the other one. No, you do not need chin implants. Your chin is not recessed. The standout (most major) difference between the two pictures is grooming. I agree that you may not have an accurate perception of what you look like.

I have not searched throughout looksmax for posts about you, and I am not going to. It appeared to me that the people in that thread where you posted the profile shot said that your chin is NOT recessed, just as you have been told here. If someone has advised you to have bimax surgery... well, let's just say I disagree with their beauty standards. If you google for information about bimax surgery and look at the pictures, you will see that your CURRENT chin profile is a good match for the desirable "after" (post-surgery) appearance. This is why I think that your perception of yourself is not accurate. I'm not going to argue with you. I'm just telling you what I am seeing with my own eyes.

Only one reply mentioned surgery. The rest said you were fine. You need to get help. You're likely only to damage yourself if you get surgery for this imagined issue.

I must have missed it. Which one recommended surgery? I saw one that said "shotgun implants," which I think is kind of the opposite of recommending a surgery. But I may have misunderstood.

That's what I thought. Recommending you shoot yourself for submitting a picture of an attractive guy with a normal chin and asking about chin implants. [Or something along those lines.] In my experience, actual unattractive people consider this sort of thing to be a bad look.

You're well above average in looks. Threads like this annoy me for the sake of others because it makes a mockery of what actually ugly people go through. Looks are not the reason you're single.

The problem is not reading people's comments or cherry-picking the ones you feel agree with you, since majority of people in orignal thread you posted said the same too. I say majority because I got bored reading them. Maybe you'll pay attention to the one irritated person and not fishing for more compliments. If you don't have BDD this is annoying.

People are fucking idiots. Don't take advice from random people on a vanity forum/site. If you can't see things objectively in the disproportionate amount of posts in opposition to the view you need surgery you have much bigger issues than if you actually did have a recessed jaw/chin. Which you do not!

Get help.

Sort your shit out.

Do not get surgery!

You either have body dismorphia or you're insanely vain and self absorbed. Whichever it is you need some professional help but it will never work for you if you won't listen to anyone other than those that uphold your view. If you can't question yourself for the sake of reality you will never, ever, be happy and you'll spend your life getting surgeries until you eventually look in the mirror and regret them once beauty standards change as they inevitably do and will many times in your life time. Do you really want to waste your life away doing that?

Up until just a few years ago the term "does my bum look big in this?" was asked out of fear the answer would be yes. It was a common meme/trope. Now girls are asking that question in hopes the response is yes. Beauty is fickle AF and ever changing in the eye of the beholders.

If you can't get a girl it's not due to your looks! I cannot stress this enough.

Why are you listening to the one guy that was probably taking the piss or just as annoyed as me (see shotgun guy) instead of the one hundred other people that are saying your chin isn't repressed. You are cherry-picking 100%. Why do you keep posting (large) pics of models and movie stars? They represent a very small minority of people, just because people don't all look like that does not mean they have "ugly trouble" or that they're going through a "brutal life". This is so ridiculous, and you angry react me when I'm speaking facts and trying to make you see sense bro.

You angry react Cathy(wtf that's even worse, she was only nice, because she explained the shotgun comment? grow up for real) and river too(she said BDD which is facts), your problem is not looks. You're just angry.

I'm going to throw out some simple tips that could help people in different situations get/keep a girlfriend, that don't require excessive amounts of surgery, and are achievable by practically everyone:
1. Get a (good) haircut. Cap for balding people
2. Be a gentleman a.k.a. respectful to women.
3. Trim your nails.
They're optional (except 3 imo) since people can get one without.

post edit:
Man, you have a deafening allergy to facts. I'm out. Nobody is triggered over the angry reacts, it's your attitude to people that are trying to help. I sent some laughter reacts your way, good luck with life bro.

In all fairness I don't think those models and actors are especially good looking. They have unique and somewhat exaggerated features and in some cases I find that more jarring than attractive. Either way its certainly not the norm and doesn't represent common beauty standards. If any such things exist. If you can't get a girl because you don't look like a model then why are all those people that aren't models in your vicinity married with children. Rattle your fucking head. Get help. Stop being so fucking rude to people who have been kind enough to reply to you with a level of patience and understanding I personally struggle to muster for you.

It's not raging and it's not over an emoji. It over the person posting and their scewed attitude.

Whilst I have been sharp with you nobody else has and you reacted with rudeness. I may deserve it, they don't. Using an emoji to do so doesn't make the emoji the focus of the problem though. The emoji is equivalent to words when posted in reaction or with intent. Your act in deferring to that rather than taking ownership of the truth of your behavior displays your lacking inclination to be honest with yourself.

I'm not trying to start an argument with you. I am trying to trigger you to have an argument with yourself as you clearly need that. My approach is probably not the right one but what I say still holds true. I think you probably know that. Whether you'll admit to it publicly I don't know. It's not really necessary. What is necessary is that you admit it to yourself and get some professional help. You can here here for advice. You posted it on another forum and it wasn't what you wanted to hear so you came here. Now the advice doesn't suit you but I can tell you the next palcw you go will tell you the same thing in one way or another. None of the places you're going are the right place and none of them are suitable for advice in any professional way. If you really want real advice see a professional just once. A psychologist will hopefully have a more appropriate bedside manner. Random people oe groups of people are about as useful to you as flipping several coins.

If you're only going to listen to the advice you want you're not looking for advice. It's either a call for compliments or a search for positive reinforcement in your desire for surgery.

If you can't see a psychologist then go see your surgeon. They'll hopefully tell you what you need to hear.

Facts. Henry Cavill looks weird to me. He's far from ugly, sure, but I think you can definitely have too "strong" a face.

Then why I was told I need bimax too fix my jaw?
@wasteofspace22

Without seeing the entire conversation and knowing more about your interactions with this person (and possibly even then), I can't tell you. However, there is a nonzero chance that this person is messing with you. In fact, based on this conversation, your picture, what people said in that other looksmax thread, and the things I mentioned earlier* this seems quite likely, in fact.

What I see is that the first word is "nothing." I am guessing this means that the person led off by saying you don't need to "fix" anything about your face. This is what virtually everyone else had told you: your face is attractive, and you certainly do not need plastic surgery of any sort. The last thing mentioned is "hair transplants"? Why aren't you obsessing about that? Is it because you have a nice head of hair and don't need hair transplants? Don't you see it as odd and illogical that someone would cobble together in one sentence a suggestion that you get hair transplants (that you do NOT need) along with suggesting two other things that they supposedly think that you DO need? That should be your very strong hint that you don't need anything done to your chin!!!!!

* I'm telling you (repeating), actual unattractive people really do not care for it when attractive people do what you are doing. You are posting a picture of an attractive person with a normal chin and asking about chin implants (and now bimax surgery). People who actually do have recessed chins are not thinking kindly of you. Things like this can make someone say or do something sarcastic (do you know what sarcasm is) or outright hurtful. Aside from that, you are opening yourself up for an unkind person to mess with your head just for the fun of it if they care to do it. If that's what's going on, then it worked.

This is my final post in this thread.

Oh, but I'll add this, I would never in this world continue dating (or be in a relationship) with an attractive guy who was obsessed with how he looks, and particularly one who was zoned in on a purely imaginary flaw. That's boring, and aside from that, there can only be one neurotic and high-maintenance person in a relationship, and that person will always be me. [I've added this so that when you give this post a spiteful laugh react it will appear that you're laughing at my joke. And even if you don't do your laugh react thing, I made myself chuckle (with the truth, even), and that's something that works for the good.]

I hope you can get past this, find some other interests besides your looks, and go ahead and have a good life.
