He also used to write ...
but too personal to publish it
This is another one of my favorites

There will come soft rains

They will come soft rains and the smell of the earth,
And swallows circling with their faint sounds;

And frogs in ponds sing at night,
And wild plum trees in tremulous white.

Robins will wear his plumed fire,
Whistling their whims on a wire fence.

And no one will know of the war, no
It will worry at the end when everything is finished.

No one would mind, neither bird nor tree,
If humanity completely perished;

And Spring herself, when she wakes at dawn
Just it would realize we're gone.

frantic,
frantic for release
liberation from this toxic state of self-disbelief .
clawing,
clawing at this fleshy cage
claws hopeless helpless rage.
Scars, bruises cuts burns
memories
the trauma churns,
I like it, let us know when you've written some more. Combination of half and full rhymes is pretty nice, it *sounds* good.

How profound...

Seize

An earthquake
Incandescent fire,
Lost time,
And death
No longer waiting
Comes...
If not before
The winter's snow
I'll use these keys
So cruelly given
And on that wasteland
Frozen lie,
Seize once...
And die.

Just to let you know that I took 8gm. of an anti-epileptic in the summer. My roomies came home, and well....here I am. My initial plan was to wait until winter. Walking, staying awake was impossible on such a high dose and freezing, although not pleasant, would definitely have meant my demise.

Living

A silent plea
Made mute of voice,
A cry that lays souls bare,
A wailing, weeping, wrenching cry
That never can be heard,
That buried deep
Within the heart
Makes all of dreams,
Absurd.

Storm

The wind rises,
Its firm breath cool...
Penetrating.

It slips with strong--
And agile fingers
Over burning flesh.

Releasing in its wake
The sleeping body
Dormant--
Still...

I sat for an age
In the long grass
Waiting,
'Neath a tree
In a circle of shade,
While the sunbeams
Played,
And the branches swayed
To a softly caressing
Breeze.

I am without words Caustic. This is the most revealing, heart-rending work I have ever seen/known. Thank you for the privilege.

I'm brimming with unused and wasted talent, according to my last english arts professor.
