• Hey Visitor,

In light of recent events, all community members in the US should reach out to their representative in regards to the Stop Online Suicide Assistance Forums Act that has been introduced in congress. This bill, if passed, could criminalize this community and hold it liable for simply hosting information.

You should be able to locate and contact your represenative by going to this website. You can also contact Lori Trahan, the one spearheading this bill by calling her office at (202) 225-3411 or by leaving a message on the contact form on her site.

One of the best ways to combat this is to make your voice heard. We're not political activists, but we made this notice to let you know that you do have a voice and that you do have representives that represent you in congress.

I find it harder to live more than being afraid to die. Im not scared of dying, its what happens after that, that makes me think hmm. I know how you feel though.
'What happens after that'

Are you talking about the effect it will have on your surroundings or?

Its when i am fully dead and cease to exist. Not the mess i leave behind.
The fact ive been studying death for 3 years, bouncing from heaven and hell to reincarnation, to other dimensions.
I dont want my life, no one would but I dont want to come back at all to this planet again, as a human or an animal.
Im not saying its reincarnation but im just saying the thought of coming back scares me because i hate this place so much.
Im okay if nothing happens after death, that suits me.
The whole heaven and hell thing, i used to believe it, i dont now.
These thoughts go through my head everyday and it really annoys me that we dont know.
I hope that helps what i meant :)

There is no proof of any kind of afterlife. It is really a philosophical question and also about belief. You have to decide for yourself.

if there was proof of an after life i wouldnt be stressing over it would i? hence why i research it. I never stated my opinion on what happens because its a discussion that can go on for hours and hours just like politics.

Sometimes I'm afraid of dying sometimes not … especially after a shitty day, which most of them are.
It becomes a little less scary every day. I just wish I didn't have to hurt the few people that still care about me.

Agree. Scared of a life of gradual deterioration and helplessness. Scared of dying and scared of death. No way forward and no way back. Sucks.

I'm terrified of life, there are so many awful things that can happen to me at any time. And humans, they're despicable. I'm getting paranoid after reading and watching so many murder/torture/kidnapping/rape stories.

I'm not scared of death but of reincarnation, it's probably illogical but yeah. I mean maybe there's no guarantee I won't be born again, right? and under much worse conditions, maybe as some poor kid in a war zone. Or one of those animals that get tortured by their "owners".

I'm overthinking this way too much.

I really recommend you read some NDEs-almost all of them state of an afterlife which is very loving and much better than here!!
This gives me a lot of comfort in my despair

Ive watched lots of videos of people who stopped breathing and came back to life. Ive listened to mediums who say they have talked to people from the other side. Im not saying I believe these people but it is interesting, a place that is better and more loving than what we call life.

But the essential point in my mind is that because there is no evidence, we don’t know whether we decide for ourselves, we don’t know anything when it comes to an afterlife or lack of afterlife. Any assertion made, including this being nothing more than a philosophical question, is a guess. That’s why it’s the undiscovered country from which no traveler returns, compelling us to bear the slings and arrows on this mortal coil, rather than spirit away to to some place we know not of.

Sounds like my life perfectly. I could have existed if I was healthy, but the writing is on the wall and it's over. I really don't give a shit at this point. It's inevitable that I have to die. I would have never made it in such a demanding world anyway. Fuck society, family, and friends. I'm tired of being tortured alive.

Sums me up perfectly, that's why I've been waiting for 4 years now, hoping something or someone would come along, if you know what I mean. I lack the resources and I don't live alone, so there's so many stumbling blocks in my way. That all being said, I have recently been giving it more thought about whether to give into the fear of failure and just do it, you know like jump off from a tall building or something, alone. I think at this rate, unless things change or a bus passenger, I'll likely say within 2-3 years I'm likely going to have to, unfortunately, settle for less and wait at the bus stop myself. Sigh.

This is my woe. I dont want to live and I dont want to die. Because who knows what really happens after you die? Does the last remaining engram of memory include pain/suffering for however long that energy lasts? Or do we just altogether stop to feel, to think, to exist for all eternity. I personally believe the latter to be true. Maybe we reincarnate in some way or transform into something else? Nobody knows for sure. This is the fear that keeps me from going 100%.

If I could I would have frozen myself in time in a permanent coma. Not living and not dead, just in eternal peaceful slumber...
But since I can't, I've decided to kill myself in the most painless way, because from now on it can only go worse.

For me it's not about life being "hard", but mostly unfair and uninterresting. It's not that i think it's hard to live till natural death occurs, it's that i don't want to and see no point in living a life of indignity, solitude, ungliness and rejection, .
