Speaking fom the Chronic Illnesses and Physical Diseases Megathread, I second your thought, but without the age factor. Your body can turn on you at any point and that changes literally Everything thereafter. It's how I ended up here - before my time. And thank goodness for this place! ❤ As a follow-up thought, if I could have my unbroken body back, I'd love to carry on past 50. Even if it meant fighting it out for a spell. Just to have the chance. For current circumstances seem to have stolen from me any chance at all.
I'm 55, and started to have pain issues between 5 to 7 years ago. The worst is fibromyalgia, but that can hit people at any age. I'm so thankful I never had to deal with that in my 20s and 30s like many do! Between the fibro and a work related injury I need physical therapy for, I'm feeling like a shadow of my former self. I'm determined to make this limitation temporary, however. My goal is to get back into yoga regularly, and eventually do aerial silks suspension! 😊

Insurances would cover euthanasia, but not medical treatment. Such is the world we live in. Writers for the New York Times cannot comprehend this.
